If you received an invitation to a traditional Japanese wedding, or if you are very curious to find out more about wedding traditions in general, you will find that there are some wonderful things about a Japanese wedding ceremony that set it apart from other similar occasions. A Japanese wedding might be Buddhist, Shinto, or Christian in nature, or it might be specifically non-religious. The style of a wedding often has more to do with the couple’s tastes than their religious beliefs.

Traditional Japanese weddings are named Shinto style weddings; these ceremonies are private, and are held in shrines. Only close family members will attend the ceremony, although there usually will be an older couple attending too, to take on the role of the matchmaker. The ceremony consists of rituals that include drinking sake, and in more modern context, the exchange of wedding rings. The bride and groom’s families will exchange drinks of sake as well to show that the two families are now as one. Japanese brides wear a shiromuku, a white kimono, for wedding dresses, while the grooms will wear montsuki, a formal black kimono, and the wide legged trousers known as hakama.

After the service at the Shinto shrine, there usually follows a reception party, where the extended family, friends and co-workers of the couple will gather to celebrate the wedding. Guests typically dress formally, and it is common to see women wearing suits as well as kimono to this event.

An invitation to a Japanese wedding should be replied to as soon as possible and one should not forget that a gift of cash is very essential. There may be a specific sum on the invitation, but if not, you can decide how much to give based on how close you are to the happy couple; the closer you are to them, the more you are expected to give. The cash, ideally in crisp new bills, is put into an envelope, known as a shugi-bukuro, and the name of the giver is written carefully on the front. The guests even get a gift at a Japanese wedding, usually a memento known as hikidemono is given, and nowadays guests would be allowed to select their gift from a catalogue.

The wedding reception itself is typically a very entertaining event, with the bride and groom seated on a stage and many participants singing celebratory or congratulatory songs for them. There is usually a Western style wedding cake and in most cases the couple will stroll around the room to light candles and to talk to the guests. Rather than staying in their formal wedding dress, the bride will likely change into a less formal kimono.

A Japanese wedding can take styles from many different cultures and traditions, and it is just as possible to see Japanese brides wearing elegant Western wedding dresses as it is to see them in a formal white kimono and elaborate headdress. When invited to a Japanese wedding, a good idea would be to ask what is appropriate and what the couple’s expectations are from the guests. No matter what part of the world you may come from, you will find that a wedding is a means to celebrate with a loving couple their happiness and joy.

Although a wedding bridal bouquet is the most common choice for brides, it does not have to be the only choice in the flower arrangement that she carries down the aisle.  In some cases the bride will choose to carry only a single flower that has a ribbon tied to it.  In other cases, she may choose to have a wrist corsage instead of a wedding bridal bouquet.  However, the most common flowers that the bride uses to accent her wedding gown is a wedding bridal bouquet made up of flowers of her choice to match the occasion.  There are wedding bridal bouquets to match every season of the year.Roses are the only common flower that can be used at any time of year but there are flowers that are traditionally used during each of the different months of the year.  There are also tropical wedding bouquets that create an exotic look for the summer season of the year.  Whatever the choice, the bride wants her wedding bridal bouquet to be a beautiful highlight to her dress and entire look for the day.

Shapes Of Wedding Bridal Bouquet

There are many different shapes that the wedding bridal bouquet can come in.  One of these shapes is the fan shape.  In this arrangement, as the name suggests, the flowers are arranged on a plastic fan so that they take on the appearance of the fan itself.  There is also a teardrop bouquet that is actually formed in the shape of a teardrop.  This bouquet is similar to the cascading bouquet, but it ends in a point at the bottom rather than the waterfall look of the cascading bouquet.  Another unique choice in a wedding bridal bouquet is a pomander.  The pomander is not seen very often, but it is a fun way to carry a bouquet.  The pomander is made up of a ball of flowers where there is not a stem showing. In front of the bride there is a ribbon attached to the bouquet that waves in her hand.

There are other types of wedding bridal bouquets that are a mix of different shapes and flowers.  There are some that look like a bouquet of wildflowers that were picked while on a stroll in the country.  There are others that are worn on the wrist so that the bride’s hands are free at all times, rather than being taken up by the bouquet.  Since wedding bridal bouquets can be very expensive, an option to save money is to use a silk wedding bridal bouquet.  These bouquets will last forever and are significantly less expensive than using live flowers.  In addition, these bouquets, when made well, are often hard to tell the difference between the real flowers and the fake.

The bridal bouquet is one of the more important flower arrangements in a wedding. The wedding flower bouquet design should complement the bride’s dress and not clash with it. Many people believe that a simple wedding dress warrants a lavish wedding flower bouquet while an ornate wedding dress should have a simple bouquet. Many considers both ornate and lavish designs of the dress and the wedding flower bouquet must correlate each other so that the bride can pull it off. Contemporary wedding flower bouquets are the most recent addition to bouquets and these are random designs that can be of any shape and flower.

Cascade Wedding Flower Bouquet

This wedding flower bouquet design has been around for centuries. Its quite outdated and are not considered popular these days. This design consists of a rounded bunch of flowers at the hand of the bride with a cascade of similar flowers and leaves falling off the main bunch. The trail that falls off the main bouquet of blooms may be made up of trailing ribbons, smaller blooms of the original flowers at the top and other foliage that are similar to ivy. This kind of wedding flower bouquet design can actually help to make a bride look slimmer and taller. This design is suitable for a formal wedding which is usually held indoors or in a church.

Round Bouquet

This wedding flower bouquet design consists of a bunch of flower created to look like a ball. For preparing a wedding bouquet Flowers that are alike are tightly packed. Roses and tulips are great for this wedding flower bouquet design. There may be additions of complementing flowers but these are usually kept to a minimum as well as foliage which are used to fill out the bouquet. This kind of wedding flower bouquet may not be so complimentary on brides with rounded body features since the roundness of the bouquet may also emphasize the rounded hips of the bride as well as her other rounded features.

The Posy

The posy wedding flower bouquet design is probably the closest to informal that a wedding bouquet can get. This is a hand tied bouquet that has the look of the flowers being just picked from the garden and then put together. The wedding flower bouquet may look disorganized and random but florists who make these are sure to have a certain style in mind when making them. Different types of flowers can be used for this bouquet and fillers and foliage an also be abundant.

Brought to you by princess cut engagement rings. A diamond certification is also known as a Diamond Grading Report. This report comes from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), and you should require this report when you are purchasing a diamond.

With a diamond certification, you can verify the color, cut, carat, weight, and clarity of the diamond. You don’t have to worry about a diamond seller telling you anything less than the truth, because the certification comes from the GIA – not the seller. You may be required to pay for the certification, but the cost is usually low, and in many cases, it will help you negotiate a better price on the diamond – or keep you from purchasing a lower quality diamond altogether.

If you buy a high quality diamond, and then later decide to sell the diamond, you will need to have the certification, or you will have a hard time selling it to someone else. Furthermore, you can use the Diamond Grading Report to look up the wholesale value of the diamond in question. Use the guide that is used by the diamond cutting industry.

With the certification, or Diamond Grading Report, there won’t be any doubts when you are trying to purchase a diamond. You can easily find out what the diamond is worth. This will prevent you from overpaying, and it can prevent a seller from under-charging as well.

A copy of the Diamond Grading Report should be given to your insurance company as well, when you insure the diamond. This provides absolute, unquestionable proof of the value of the diamond should it be stolen in the future. Insurance companies cannot argue with the report.

Avoid diamond sellers who seem reluctant to provide a certification! Also avoid sellers who tell you that a certification diamond will cost you more – the only additional cost should be the cost of the certification, which is low. If the seller doesn’t want to provide a certification, then you don’t want to do business with that seller.

Don’t accept authentication from Gemological Laboratories other than GIA. There are many fly-by-night Gemological labs these days, but in the end, GIA has been established as the most respectable and trustworthy – not to mention oldest – of the lot. So avoid sellers who don’t want to use GIA for certification purposes as well.

Don’t buy an expensive diamond without paying the extra cost of the certification. If a seller tries to convince you to make the purchase without the certification, or if they want to use a company other than GIA, you can be sure that the seller has probably greatly inflated the price of the diamond – they have something that they are hiding from you.
