There are many things to keep in mind when choosing your wedding invitations, including how it will look when it is received in the mail.  Many people want to make their invitation stand out from the rest of the mail their friends and loved ones receive every day.

Size and Shape
Wedding invitations come in a variety of shapes and sizes, from square to oversize.  Many couples choose small square invitations only to find later that it costs more to send.  Instead, a tea-length invitation, that is an invitation roughly the size of a business envelope, may something to consider if you are on a tight budget.

Foils
Foil trims on wedding invitations are very common, but did you know you could also spice up the look of the envelope?  Most wedding invitation stores will allow you to add a foil lining to the envelope that matches your wedding invitation for little or no extra cost.

Seal-n-Send wedding invitations
This is a new type of wedding invitation that is really becoming popular.  No envelope is needed for the invitation because it is an all in one self mailing piece.  Attached to the invitation is a response post card.  This saves on postage both for the RSVP and the mailing of the invitation itself, since the invitation only needs a regular postage stamp to send it.

Paper Type
Wedding invitations and their envelopes can stand out simply by the choice of paper on which they are printed.  Wedding invitations can be made from cotton, linens, vellums and heavy card stocks.  Envelopes are made of comparable material.  Many couples today choose recycled papers, which can look indistinguishable from virgin paper, or really have a ‘recycled’ look.

Of all the things one has to do to put on a wedding, choosing the invitations can actually be one of the more enjoyable aspects.  Couples today can really show off their personalities with all the wedding invitation choices available.
