Planning a wedding is a huge event and the most important thing the bride will be thinking about is the dress. But, the first thing that your guests are going to see will be the wedding invitations. Remember, the invitations are going to be on your guests fridge or notice board for months before the wedding, so they need to be perfect!.

So, what do you need to look for when ordering your wedding invitations? Well, you need to decide what style you are interested in. There are so many styles of invitations, do you want standard card folding invitations, wallet invitations, Handmade Wedding Invitations, printed invitations or maybe something a bit different like boxed wedding invitations? The options are endless!

Then you need to think about whether you want your invitations to co-ordinate with your theme or colour scheme, or maybe you don’t want to give your theme away so want to keep the invitations separate from the day.

After making your choice of invitation do not get overwhelmed with invitation etiquette, most invitation company will be happy to help out with any invitation wording suggestions.

If you like a mixture of two or three invitation styles, don’t be afraid to ask for a bespoke invitation to be made especially for you, after all, your day is unique so why not have your Handmade Wedding Inviations unique.

Wedding Invitation Ordering Tips

When ordering, ensure that you have all information to give your supplier, this includes wedding details, addresses, maps, etc.

Make sure that you have an idea of how many invitations you need to order. Order approximately 15-25 more than this to allow for regrets and writing errors. Remember, you don’t need an invitation for each guest, normally an invitation is sent out per household (a separate invitation to children in the same household but over 18 years old).

If having themed invitations, have a look at the other wedding stationery offered and combine menus, favours, order of service and table plans.

Some Wedding Invitations are cheaper with the more you buy, so do your maths and see which price would benefit you more. Some suppliers offer free postage if you order a certain amount.

Whatever you decide when ordering your wedding invitations, let your wedding invitation expert assist you in every step of the process, and most of all, have a great time ordering them and enjoy the experience!
