Whatever style of wedding you choose; there are plenty of ideas for inexpensive wedding music at castle weddings.. For all sorts of music, from pop to classical, there are many of solutions to meet your budget.

Sometimes bridal couples can be disappointed with a DJ. The cost is high and the music generally a bit naff.

But now you can you take control and have cheap wedding music at castle weddings.

Here are some tips:

Use an ipod.
The best way to save on your wedding music is to use an ipod MP3 player with all your favourite tracks. For our wedding, we used our iPod and bought any additional music we wanted. It ended up being really cheap as we borrowed our friend’s equipment (cables, amp and speakers). It gave us complete control over the tracks we wanted to play, when we wanted them played and for how long. If you haven’t got an ipod or a MP3 player, you could use a friend’s.

If you are lucky they might even compile the playlists for you.

One wedding couple had a couple of hours of their favourite classical music (the ones that everyone knows like Pachabel’s Canon in D). Most of the classical tracks were taken from free compilation albums distributed with newspapers. They then had a couple of hours of the crooners over dinner and then their favourite pop classics and dance tracks.

Strangely DJs are not loosing business over the growing trend of having ipod weddings. It is because there is significant equipment needed. You need to have an amplifier, cables and speakers. If you are doing an ipod wedding be careful of those cables as you do not want any grannies breaking their hip on your trip hazard. Make sure you have adequate insurance cover in place. Whatever you do, do not skimp on the wedding insurance in case there is an accident.

If you are going the ipod wedding route make sure you hire some new fangled dance lights that spin and move in beat with the music. It ensures your wedding does not have a church hall basic birthday party feel.

If you do not want to go the ipod wedding route then you can ask a friend to DJ. If they like to DJ, you could be esceptionally lucky and they could have the equipment you need, so you will save on hire costs.

Another option for cheap wedding music is to have a young local band play. It will give them the exposure they need in front of an audience and be a really cheap alternative for you. They’ll also have all the kit, so no need to hire anything!

Always remember that a band will take up a lot of space so watch out if you’re using a small venue. The band space may reduce your dancing space. Also make sure you brief them on the type and style of music you want and give them a list of tracks. You don’t want them to play what ever they want. or you could end up with AC/DC blaring out of speakers at your wedding castle. You also need to discuss their attire or they might arrive in goth gear. In fact you need to ascertain what any musician/Dj you engage is going to be wearing.

Alternatively you could even try a local orchestra for a big sound. Or your music school or music teacher. More often than not, you will find that they are willing to play for you for a complete bargain. Start scouting around and you will be surprised at what you might find.

Start at your local school or in the paper for people advertising music lessons. You never know just what bargain you may get for your live music at your castle weddings.
